Penryn Le Guin Reading Group
Ursula K. Le Guin is the quintessential radical sci-fi writer. She was the daughter of two anthropologists and began writing in the 1950s.
Her works include the Wizard of Earthsea series, the Dispossessed, the Word for World is Forest, and many more.
Our reading group will first focus on her 1969 novel The Left Hand of Darkness, which includes themes of gender, feminism, and cultural anthropology.
Our first meeting will be on Thursday 29th October, 7-8:30pm, at the Thirsty Scholar, Penryn.
